Phoebe and Sam spend a few summer days at his family’s vacation home. The sun is high, the butter melts on the table. But when the uninhibited, almost intrusive couple next door — Peter and Kate — arrive, something shifts. Phoebe growls, sniffs, tests and pushes boundaries. When a game suddenly turns serious, she becomes a threat to the others. A quiet, eerie, sometimes funny film about the breaking down of roles and the silent power of those who no longer conform.
